Dear UPMASAns and Friends;
I have never been to Iloilo. But I have heard that even when they are mad their lovely dialect is so charming that it betrays their spite.
But it is not the charm of Iloilo that I write today. Today, we pay homage to the academic endeavor at the UP Visayas in Iloilo. UP Visayas Iloilo is distinct among UP Campuses as the center for Philippine Marine Science. The UP Visayas University Library is the repository of knowledge in Marine Sciences. There are important scientific documents that are in the library that need to be archived so that future students will have access to discoveries that have been done to jump-start what needs to discover new knowledge.
Marine Science is important for the food supply of the Philippines. The cost of the project is $25,000.
